Wireless TV means that you can watch TV using your internet! No need for TV cables anymore. The receiver does need to be connected to your TV with an HDMI cable and to a power outlet.
The oxio TV receiver uses the Wi-Fi dispensed by the oxio router, meaning you can use your TV receiver from anywhere in your place of residence. We recommend connecting the receiver to the 5GHz Wi-Fi to ensure the best possible transmission of data.
As a rule of thumb, the closer to the router your TV receiver is, the better the signal strength it can pick up. Since streaming TV requires a lot of bandwidth, keep in mind that you should try to make sure your Wi-Fi is strong enough. Positioning is therefore important and materials used in your house can cause issues in connection.
If your Wi-Fi signal is too weak, you may experience cuts and pauses in your streams. If such is the case, we suggest trying to connect your TV receiver to the router using a network cable. Using a wired setup is more stable than using Wi-Fi.
Note that, since the installation of all oxio equipment is done by the customer, it is your duty to find and install a network cable in the case where you wish to wire your TV receiver to the router.
