Do note that some troubleshooting solutions when it comes to connection problems require our agents reset your router which can reset your configurations.


First of all, make sure you have access to your router’s settings.





Follow this simple guide if you don’t know how!


Note that the screen captures in this guide may be in a different language than yours. Worry not, all elements seen on screen are in the exact same order no matter the language. We have also included both French and English titles to ease you through the process.



If your router is an eero 6:





You must access the eero app on your smartphone or tablet to program parental controls.
At the top of the screen, tap "+"

Tap Add profile, Enter a profile name at the top of the screen and select devices belonging to a specific person;

Once all devices are selected, tap Done at the top of the screen. You will then see the profile displayed on the app's home screen.

To add breaks according to a specific schedule, tap on Add scheduled break, you will see all the possible options to pause the internet there. Don't forget to press Save at the top of the screen so that the programming is saved!




For SR400ac and SR905acv routers:





Once inside your router, click on (1) Devices / Périphériques in the left sidebar;

In the submenu, click on (2) Access Schedule / Horaire d’accès;

In the submenu, click on the (3) Add Schedule / Ajouter un horaire button:





On this new page, (4) Enter name / Entrez le nom of the period for which you wish to restrict access. The name cannot contain accents or special characters.;

Click on (5) Save changes / Sauvegarder modifications :





On this new page, find the Daily Pause Times / Temps de pause quotidiens section (right under the table). This is where you must indicate the periods for wich you wish to restrict access for the devices of your choosing (selected later in the process);


If you wish for the same periods to be restricted throughout the week, enter the information on the Daily Pause Times / Temps de pause quotidiens line. For periods varying through the week, enter the information for each individual day and leave the Daily Pause Times / Temps de pause quotidiens line blank. The table will update itself accordingly by displaying the restricted periods in red.


Enter the beginning and end times of the period you wish to restrict access to in field (6);

If you wish to have multiple restricted periods in the same day, use fields (7) and (8);

Any and all periods defined in the fields will be reflected in table (9) in real time. The restricted periods in red represent the hours when access will be restricted for the devices of your choosing (selected later in the process);

Click on the (10) Apply / Appliquer button at the top of the page :





Back in the main menu of your router, click on (11) Devices / Périphériques in the left sidebar;

In the submenu, click on (12) Device Groups / Groupes d'appareils;

In the submenu, click on the (13) Create group / Créer groupe button:




On this new page, enter the (14) Group name / Nom de groupe for the group of users for which you wish to restrict. The name cannot contain accents or special characters.;

Click on (15) Access Schedule / Horaire d’accès and select the name corresponding to the restricted access period created earlier on step 4;

Click on the (16) Create / Créer button :





On this new page, choose the (17) device for which you wish to restrict access and click on the rightmost (18) arrow icon :





On this new page, click on (19) Group / Groupe and select the name corresponding to the restricted group created earlier on step 14;

Click on the (20) Save changes / Sauvegarder modifications button :





The selected device must be included in the user group created higher up on the current page. This is the device the restricted access schedule will be applied to;

To add another device to the group, repeat steps 17 through 19 and make sure to add the device to the correct group;

Repeat the steps above for all devices and periods you desire.




For SR516ac and SR616ac routers :





Once inside your router, click on (1) Advanced Setup / Configuration Avancée in the left sidebar;

In the submenu, click on (2) Parental Control / Contrôle Parental;

In the submenu, click on (3) Time Restriction / Restriction de temps;

On this page, click on the (4) Add / Ajouter button :





On this new page, enter a descriptive name for the user you wish to restrict in the (5) Name / Nom d’utilisateur field. The name cannot contain accents or special characters.;

Check the (6) circle next to the (7) Other MAC Address / Autre adresse MAC field ;

Enter the MAC address of the device you wish to restrict in field (7) ;


Note that our agents cannot help you find the MAC address of your devices.


Check the days of table ( on which you wish to restrict access to the internet for that device. If you check Monday, the device will not have access to the internet on Mondays.;

Enter the (9) Start Blocking Time / Début de la durée de blocage;

Enter the (10) End Blocking Time / Fin de la durée de blocage;

Click on the (11) Apply/Save / Appliquer/Sauvegarder button :





Repeat the steps above for all devices and periods you desire.
