Let's be completely honest, nobody wants a long or complicated Wi-Fi network name and password. Here's how to rename your Wi-Fi network and password (SSID) issued by your Smart RG router :

Follow this simple guide if you don’t know how!
Note that the screen captures in this guide may be in a different language than yours. Worry not, all elements seen on screen are in the exact same order no matter the language. We have also included both French and English titles to ease you through the process.
Once inside your router, click on (1) Wifi in the left sidebar;
In the submenu, click on (2) Networks / Réseaux;
On this page, enter the name you wish to give your network in the (3) SSID field;
Right underneath, write your desired password in the (4) Password / Mot de passe field;
It is crucial that you do not give both your networks (the 2.4 and 5GHz ones) the same names, as this will cause conflicts. You can follow oxio’s example and add “-5G” at the end of your network name to differentiate both networks.
We recommend not to modify any other options. Our agents will not be able to assist you in modifying these options.
Click on the (5) Apply / Appliquer button that will appear in a dark blue popup at the top of your screen :
Once inside your router, click on (1) Wireless/ Sans-fil in the left sidebar;
In the submenu, click on (2) 5 GHz Band / Bande or (2) 2.4 GHz Band / Bande, depending on the network you wish to edit;
In the submenu, click on (3) Basic / De base;
On this page, enter the name you wish to give your network in the (4) SSID field;
If your network is not in Dual-band / Double Bande mode, it is crucial that you do not give both your networks (the 2.4 and 5GHz ones) the same names, as this will cause conflicts. You can follow oxio’s example and add “-5G” at the end of your network name to differentiate both networks.
Click on the (5) Apply/Save / Appliquer/Sauvegarder button :
Once inside your router, click on (1) Wireless/ Sans-fil in the left sidebar;
In the submenu, click on (2) 5 GHz Band / Bande or (2) 2.4 GHz Band / Bande, depending on the network you wish to edit;
In the submenu, click on (3) Security / Sécurité;
On this page, make sure the (4) Select SSID / Choisir SSID line has the network you wish to edit as selected;
A couple lines down, write your desired password in the (5) WPA passphrase / WPA/WAPI passphrase field;

Click on the (6) Apply/Save / Appliquer/Sauvegarder button :
