# Does oxio use refurbished equipment?

As we work towards a more green and sustainable model, customers may sometimes receive refurbished equipment.

* These have been CPE Vendor Certified and undergo rigorous testing by us to ensure they perform optimally and reduce the chances of receiving equipment that may be defective.
* Modems or routers may still have minor cosmetic defects.
